Wiss Auto-Retracting Utility Knife
Wiss, an Apex Tool Group brand, announced the introduction of its Auto-Retracting Utility Knife, which automatically retracts its blade the moment it loses contact with the material being cut.
This distinctive safety feature engages even if the user is still holding the blade slider forward in the open position.
"The new Auto-Retracting Utility Knife is a breakthrough solution to improve safety throughout the workplace," said Chris Lance, product manager for Wiss. "Unlike standard knives, the new Wiss knife reduces the likelihood of injury and makes every cutting job safer."
The auto-retract mechanism cannot be overridden under normal use. To improve efficiency, blade changes are quick and easy, and the tool accepts all standard utility knife blades.
