The Challenger van's exterior is outfitted with a multi-colored wrap depicting JET material handling equipment on one side and Wilton hand tools on the other side. On the back of the van is a power-packed graphic of the new Wilton B.A.S.H. Sledge Hammers with Unbreakable Handle Technology. B.A.S.H. stands for Bad Ass Sledge Hammer -- no other sledge hammer on the market can sustain the same degree of punishment, and WILTON has the test data to prove it.
"The Challenger's mission is to reach out and partner with our distributors and dealers in major markets throughout the country," said Tim Onello, JET and Wilton's director of product management. "We're taking this van to jobsites for show and tell, plus hands-on. It's our self-contained ambassador on wheels that's intended to create brand excitement, provide distributor training and support, and introduce new, innovative products."
During the 2011 tour, The Challenger van, driven by JET's technical sales representative, Scott Mieras, will visit distributors and dealers in Minnesota (September), Wisconsin and Illinois (October), Michigan and Indiana (November) and Florida (December).
An assortment of the latest JET and Wilton tools will be displayed inside the Challenger, including JET overhead lifting products (hoists) and Wilton workholding products, such as vises and clamps, as well as B.A.S.H Sledge Hammers. Exterior demonstration and teaching equipment includes a 55-in. LCD TV, speaker system, 48 x 22-in. demo table, 15-ft. armless awning and hoist beam for hands-on hoist demos.
At each stop, The Challenger's team will conduct product demonstrations, lunch-and-learns, distributor open houses and public relations visits.
