IBC's IndustrialSupplyPlus division recognized several companies at its recent annual national meeting in Rosemont, Ill.
During Sunday's recognition/awards luncheon, IBC recognized HUB Industrial Supply, Lake City, Fla., as the IBC Distributor of the Year. Bass Tool & Supply, Houston, was voted by IBC preferred suppliers as the Distributor of the Year for support of supplier programs and initiatives.
Also recognized as Distributors of Excellence for 2011 were Kendeco Tool Crib, St. Cloud, Minn., Sterling Supply, Huntington, W.Va. and S & S Equipment and Supplies, Trenton, N.J. The Strategic Account Management Award (SAMMY) went to John Bonacorsi and Elaine Eller of Haggard & Stocking, Indianapolis, for their exemplary support of end-user contract initiatives.
IBC also recognized ORS Nasco Inc., Tulsa, Okla., as the recipient of the Anthony L. Scarpinato Supplier of the Year Award, which is named after the former IBC vice president of supplier relations and a key contributor to IBC. Weiler Corporation, Cresco, Pa., was recognized by the IBC distributor stakeholders as the Preferred Supplier of the Year. Other stakeholders recognized as Suppliers of Excellence were North American Tool Corporation, South Beloit, Ill., Standard Abrasives, Northridge, Calif., and EMUGE Corporation, West Boylston, Mass.
In addition, more than 80 stakeholder organizations, distributors and suppliers were recognized for their sales excellence and were distinguished as members of the IBC President's Club for 2011.
Two additional awards for End User Contract Sales Leader recognition were given to Bearings and Drives, Macon, Ga., and The Phoenix Group, Greenwood, Ind.
