PFERD announced the appointment of Mark Noe as director of sales.
In this newly created position, Noe will report directly to PFERD president, Gene Huegin, and have responsibility for all U.S. sales operations which includes directing the PFERD area sales managers reporting to him in addition to market specialists.
Noe, a native of the St. Louis area, is a graduate of Southern Illinois University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. He comes to PFERD with a broad background in the tool industry. His most recent position was director of sales for the Apex Products Division of the Apex Tool Group which is the recently formed joint venture of the Cooper Tools Division of Cooper Industries and Danaher Corporation's tool division. His previous experience also includes work at Hilti Fastening Systems, Ingersoll-Rand Corporations's industrial division, R&B Inc, and Larson-Juhl, a Berkshire-Hathaway Company.
"PFERD has experienced extensive growth in recent years in North America and it was clear that a stronger level of support was required to each of the sales departments and entities reporting to me," said Huegin. The hiring of Noe will enable Huegin to concentrate on strategic issues, he added.
"I know PFERD has a long history of success in the metalworking industry and I realize I face many challenges in helping to guide their continued success. With my past experience and with the strong team PFERD has in place, I'm sure we will work well together in reaching our future sales growth goals," Noe said.
Noe and his family will relocate to Massachusetts where PFERD's North American operations are headquartered.
