Chicago Fed Midwest Manufacturing Index up in August
The Chicago Fed Midwest Manufacturing Index increased 0.6% in August, to a seasonally adjusted level of 85.0.
Revised data show the index increased 0.3% in July. The Federal Reserve Board's industrial production index for manufacturing (IPMFG) increased 0.4% in August. Regional output in August rose 7.6% from a year earlier, and national output increased 4.2%.
