Rockwell Automation sets record sales
Rockwell Automation reported record quarterly results, setting new highs for sales and earnings per share from continuing operations.
Fiscal 2011 third quarter sales were $1.5 billion, up 20 percent from $1.2 billion in the third quarter of fiscal 2010. Net income was $179.5 million, or $1.23 per share, up from $198.0 million in the same period of 2010.
"Given our strong year-to-date results and an increased tailwind from currency, we are increasing our sales outlook for the full fiscal year to approximately $5.9 billion," said Keith D. Nosbusch, chairman and chief executive officer.
the Control Products & Solutions fiscal 2011 third quarter sales were $843.3 million, an increase of 18 percent from $714.2 million last year. Segment operating earnings were $87.4 million in the third quarter of fiscal 2011, up from $72.6 million in the third quarter of fiscal 2010.
