A decline in transportation equipment orders caused new orders for manufactured durable goods to fall by 2.1 percent in June to $192.0 billion, the U.S. Census Bureau announced today.
This decrease followed a 1.9 percent May increase. Excluding transportation, new orders increased 0.1 percent. Excluding defense, new orders decreased 1.8 percent.
