Loctite to sponsor Formula 5000 racing
Henkel Corporation has announced that Loctite brand adhesives and sealants will sponsor the 2011 Formula 5000 U.S. Revival Race Series.
Formula 5000 is one of the premier open-wheel racing groups in historic/vintage racing, and ranks among the fastest growing participant sports in North America, Europe and Australia/New Zealand.
The 2011 Formula 5000 Revival Race Series features a five-race program in the United States and Canada. The 2011 series will premiere at Watkins Glen International in Watkins Glen, New York, and travel across the continent to tracks in California.
"It's a natural fit for Loctite to sponsor this vintage racing event," said Mike Shannahan, Henkel's director of industrial marketing for North America. "Virtually every car in the competition has relied upon Loctite products to enhance performance over the 40 or so years since they were built. Also, most of the people who watch these races either use or could use Loctite technology in their daily lives."
