NetPlus Alliance to meet at ISA

NetPlus Alliance will host its annual distributor member meeting at the 1st Annual ISA Product Show & Conference in Indianapolis on Sunday, May 2, from 12 p.m. – 2 p.m.

The ISA Product Show & Conference runs from May 2-4, 2010 and will take place at the conveniently located Indiana Convention Center in downtown Indianapolis.

Tom Gale, publisher of Modern Distribution Management, will return as guest speaker at the member-only luncheon. "The Industrial Supply Association has shaken up the event this year to increase the value, and the timing is perfect," Gale said. "I don't know a better way to get your key team members offsite for a few days, in an environment where they can shake off 2009. It will give you a short-term jumpstart and develop your future leaders. It's important to invest now in the people who will move your company forward."

Dan Judge, president of NetPlus Alliance and a past president of ISA's predecessor association, I.D.A., appreciates the mutually beneficial relationship with the ISA. "Our members prefer to have our meeting within the ISA, and we work hard to relationship-build before, during and after the show. I am looking forward to the new two-day Product Show, which will allow for more time for NetPlus Alliance Distributors to network with each other, see and handle product, and meet with our product suppliers and wholesalers.

NetPlus Alliance member distributor Allan Chartier, of Midwest Industrial Tools, in Omaha, Neb., added, "I have attended the ISA annual meetings every year since I.D.A. was founded in 1988 and previous to that I attended every Central States Industrial Distributors Association meeting dating back to 1978 – I simply don't miss the meetings. I can attend the NetPlus Alliance meeting and talk with suppliers about how we can work together to increase sales. I can also network with my fellow distributors and talk to them about the challenges they are facing and what they are doing about them. I can discover new opportunities for my company by listening to what they have done. Most importantly, I cannot see that many key manufacturing executives (and meet new ones) in any other place all at one time. I learn about new products, selling opportunities and industry trends. Especially now that ISA has reduced the cost of registering (to $249), there is just too much value/dollar invested to even think about not being at the meeting. I'll be in Indianapolis, you can count on it!"

NetPlus Alliance is a buying group that works with 126 product suppliers and 13 service suppliers to provide rebate opportunities to 385 industrial and contractor supplies distributors. Total annual sales among the 1,512 locations throughout North America are $5 billion. The ongoing growth of the group is confirmed through its mission to be a benefit-driven buying group for its distributor members and supplier partners through rebate programs, value-added pricing, interactive communications and marketing opportunities.
