Regal Beloit ends strong year
Regal Beloit Corporation reported net sales for the fourth quarter were $555.7 million, an increase of 20.0% compared to the same period last year.
Diluted earnings per share for the quarter were 65 cents compared to 90 cents for the fourth quarter 2009. For the full year 2010, sales were $2.23 billion, an increase of 22.5% compared to $1.82 billion for 2009.
Sales for the fourth quarter 2010 included $56.8 million of incremental sales from the six businesses acquired in 2010. Sales growth was driven by increased demand in nearly all end markets including strong demand for energy efficient products. Full year 2010 included $119.5 million of incremental sales from acquired businesses.
