Flint, Mich.-based Shively Brothers Inc. has purchased the assets of Cadillac Industrial Supply of Cadillac, Mich. Terms were not disclosed.
The company will do business as Cadillac Industrial Supply, a Division of Shively Bros.
"This new relationship will bring SBI's extensive Tool Commodity Management knowledge and experience to CIS Customers, who will continue to be served by Cadillac Industrial Supply staff. These customers will also benefit from SBI's purchasing power, and access to SBI's extensive network of cutting tool and abrasive experts," said Marty Kenney, Shively Brothers vice president of operations, in a prepared statement.
Cadillac Industrial Supply was founded in 1964 by Truman Tyler and Stan Sandelius, and purchased in 1992 by Jerry Tyler, Truman's son. The company serves the Cadillac area and Northern Michigan.
Shively Bros. serves more than 1,200 customers, including automotive manufacturers, automotive suppliers, medical instruments, food service, and metal stamping, through nine locations, including Flint, Saginaw, Grand Rapids, and now Cadillac, Mich.; Sandusky, Ohio; Tonawanda, N.Y.; Springhill, Tenn.; Canada and Mexico.
