Lewis-Goetz and Company announced the acquisitions of two hose and fittings distributors.
EVCO House of Hose, Salt Lake City, Utah, specializes in the fabrication and supply of industrial and hydraulic hose products for a variety of industrial applications throughout the Rocky Mountain region.
Industrial Rubber & Supply of Decatur, Ala., specializes in fabricating and supplying gaskets, seals and hose assemblies to a variety of industrial customers in the northern Alabama market.
Both acquisitions closed on Jan. 1. Terms were not disclosed.
"The EVCO locations provide an obvious geographic fit for our expansion plans. With locations covering much of the Mountain West the acquisition fills a geographic hole in our footprint but also provides great synergy from an end-market standpoint," said Jeff Crane, president and CEO of Lewis-Goetz. "With an emphasis on oil and gas as well as construction, EVCO provides very similar products and services to end markets and common customers that we know very well."
EVCO general manager Dave Adkins will continue to manage the EVCO locations and will report to Crane as the region manager for Lewis-Goetz's new Mountain Region.
Todd Davis will remain with Industrial Rubber as branch manager of the Decatur location.
"We feel this is the best way to bring positive change to our industry. It's a great move for our employees and our community," said Davis. "Lewis-Goetz is a company with vision and strong leadership. I think this acquisition says good things about the future of our local marketplace."
Rick Hames, a veteran of the industrial rubber industry, will also remain as a consultant.
Lewis-Goetz is headquartered in Pittsburgh, Pa.
