Robert LaZebnik, owner of Airmaster Fan Company, announced the sale of the company to current president and CEO, Richard Stone.
The sale was completed on Dec. 28. Financial details were not disclosed.
The Jackson, Mich.-based company traces its roots to the Diehl Fan Company, which patented the first practical electrical fan in 1886, according to the company's Web site.
"Airmaster Fan Company remains committed to uncompromising quality, outstanding service, and superior products, which have built our brand recognition in the market," the company said in a prepared statement.
Coinciding with the sale, Ron Johnson was named chief financial officer and executive vice president, and Mike Pignataro was promoted to vice president of sales and marketing.
Airmaster Fan Company engineers, designs and manufactures fans sold through the wholesale distribution market.
